plane: 1hour and 15 mins
car: 12/16 hours
train: same
bus: the same.
of course if u drive u might want to stop off at certian places.trains can be delayed.once went by train and it was 5 hours late into melbourne.and buses do make stops.u know for toilet and food breaks..have fun which ever way u travel.having tried all the above mentioned ways.planes are the way to go!

Just over an hour on a plane

about 10 hours driving

about 12 on a bus

never done it by train
Flight time is 1hr 5 mins, without delays but the airlines allow 1 hr 30 mins as Syd airport is sometimes congested. Car can be done in about 9 hrs, Bus prob a little longer say 12 and train 10 hrs. More beneficial to catch a plane these days!!
it takes about 1hr 15 Min's by air plane and there are flights on average every 15 Min's between the different airlines that fly between the two cities. Air travel is the cheapest option for this route
